Aerospace Sourcing Recruiter
About the role
Aston Carter is seeking a Sourcing Recruiter to identify, engage, and build pipelines of qualified talent across multiple business functions. This role serves as a strategic sourcing partner, leveraging advanced sourcing techniques, recruiting technologies, and market insights to attract active and passive candidates. The Sourcing Recruiter collaborates with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to develop targeted sourcing strategies and deliver diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines that support hiring goals.
Responsibilities
- Source and engage active and passive candidates through multiple channels.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches, Google X-Ray, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, professional networks, and talent communities.
- Conduct talent mapping, market research, and competitor analysis to identify target talent pools.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Develop sourcing strategies and outreach campaigns for hard-to-fill and niche roles.
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and pre-screening to assess qualifications and interest.
- Maintain relationships with prospective candidates and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs and develop sourcing plans.
- Participate in intake meetings and workforce planning discussions.
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, competitor activity, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Leverage ATS, CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter, and related technologies to identify, track, and manage candidates.
- Develop and optimize Boolean search strategies and sourcing workflows.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing activity documentation.
- Analyze sourcing metrics, pipeline health, conversion rates, and channel performance.
- Support employer branding initiatives and represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and career fairs.
- Apply consultative skills to recommend sourcing solutions and support service-level objectives.
- Drive process improvements and innovative sourcing practices.
- Prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
- 2+ years of direct sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience with ATS, HRIS, CRM platforms, and recruiting technologies.
- Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and the recruitment lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Boolean searches and advanced sourcing methodologies.
- Experience sourcing active and passive candidates through networking, social media, internet mining, and other creative channels.
- Experience in technical recruiting and supporting onboarding activities.
- Strong corporate recruiting experience with a focus on process improvement and results.
- Ability to use metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness and support business objectives.
- Strong consultative, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain candidate pipelines.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with CRM platforms and candidate relationship management.
- Knowledge of employer branding, social media recruiting, talent mapping, and market research.
- Experience participating in workforce planning initiatives.
- Comfortable representing the organization at networking events, conferences, career fairs, and professional association meetings.
Work Environment
This role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position operates in a professional corporate environment that emphasizes collaboration with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and other business partners. Work involves regular use of Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms, CRM tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing technologies. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring adaptability to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
This is a fully onsite position in Columbus, OH.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
