Aerospace Program Manager (PROGR006531)

Description

The Program Manager is responsible for leading major programs and projects, project team leadership, and customer support from contract award through qualification and transition to full-rate production.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability
• Control and manage schedule, cost, customer interface, and risk for major projects and programs including use of schedules, reports, action items, and team meetings as appropriate
• Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams and obtain necessary resources to meet customer requirements
• Customer communications and relationship management for assigned accounts
• Monitor and management of directed changes and associated claims
• Track/report customer & program news
• Support development of strategic plan

Education & Experience Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or higher, and 3 years’ experience related to the roles and responsibilities above, OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or engineering management from an accredited university, plus one-year project management experience.

• Familiarity and abilities in the following areas:
• Program and project management
• Leadership, interpersonal, and administrative skills
• Customer service
• Contract Oversight, including FAR, DFAR, NNPI, ITAR, Import/Export, ISO, SOX, and portal systems
• Experience using MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Basic understanding of engineering design and manufacturing processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a single, cross-functional project simultaneously and shift priorities as needed to support business needs and critical deadlines
