About the role
Pioneer Human Services is seeking an Aerospace Production Planner II / III to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organization dedicated to transforming lives through social change.
Responsibilities
- Create production planning and work center routings for aerospace parts, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings and specifications, and flow down special noted requirements from the customer.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating labor production times, checking material and OSP costs, and using estimate sheets as a guide.
- Evaluate current routings and ensure they meet all current processes and specifications. Create Planning Changes and route them to all departments involved.
- Audit Customer Purchase Orders for latest revisions, prices, quantities, lead times, and special process requirements. Ensure all necessary information for production is available in-house, can be purchased/made, or provided by the customer.
- Audit Quality Clause requirements and flow them down to production. Interface with customers, suppliers, programming, and floor supervisors regarding product configuration and quality issues.
- Observe and promote quality control procedures within the department. Adhere to Quality Management System (BMS 10000) requirements, including operating procedures, process specifications, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Train, coach, and guide department employees with lesser levels of experience. Ensure compliance with export control regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in manufacturing process, procedures, blueprint interpretation, tolerances, and equipment uses.
- Understanding of customer contracts/Purchase Orders.
- Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and ITAR.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Produce shop router per customer specifications and machine requirements, including outside processes.
- Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet knowledge required.
- Communicate well, stay organized while multi-tasking, and write accurate, comprehensive, and concise documents.
- Thorough knowledge of aerospace manufacturing drawings and specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Complete knowledge of how a part is produced using correct equipment and process order.
- Solution-oriented, able to define problems and work with team members to conclusions.
- Preferably 2 years of engineering classes and 3+ years of experience in estimating and/or planning in manufacturing plants.

- Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.120.15.
