Aerospace Medical Technician (Flight & Operational Medical Tech)

Responsibilities

  • Review accession medical records.
  • Process physical standards cases.
  • Apply Air Force medical standards.
  • Cookordinate with military treatment facilities and specialty consultants.
  • Maintain case tracking databases.
  • Prepare medical summaries.
  • Monitor case status throughout adjudication.
  • Cookordinate with providers and Government personnel.
  • Maintain HIPAA and Privacy Act compliance.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Air Force Aerospace Medical Technician or Flight & Operational Medical Technician technical training.
  • Minimum four (4) years of physical standards case management experience within the past ten (10) years.
  • Expert knowledge of Air Force accession, retention, and special duty medical standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Prior AFAC or AETC experience.
  • Military Entrance Processing (MEPS) experience.
  • Aerospace medicine clinic experience.
  • Experience with Air Force medical waiver programs.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
