Aerospace Logistics Specialist - Universal

About the role

The Aerospace Logistics Specialist will support the Aerospace Industry, adhering to AIT regulatory policies and procedures for international and domestic freight forwarding. This role involves diverse operations such as aircraft on ground (AOG), charters, on-board couriers, trade shows, and conventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support, services, and guidance to internal company stations, including quoting, routing, and executing freight shipments across various transportation modes.
• Manage multiple client accounts within the Government and Aerospace vertical, ensuring efficient and timely execution of shipping tasks.
• Communicate freight status to customers and verify and update shipment information.
• Facilitate international shipment flow by coordinating with internal/external customers, transportation providers, government agencies, and overseas agents.
• Work closely with the Global Compliance team to maintain compliance with U.S. government laws and regulations, including ITAR/EAR/CFR compliance, import/export documentation, and regulatory changes.
• Manage CargoWise workflows, daily tracker spreadsheets, and ensure data integrity.
• Develop and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and external clients and review/update as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Required)
• 3+ years international operations freight forwarding experience (Required)
• Experience working with the Aerospace Industry (Required)
• Highly knowledgeable in DOD/DOS regulations (Preferred)
• Hazmat Certification - IATA, IMDG, and 49CFR (Preferred)
• Secret Clearance (Preferred)
