About the role

This is a 2nd shift position, Monday to Friday, starting at 2pm. You will build and test development hardware, support data acquisition and analysis, and work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and systems with increasing complexity; modify and/or repair components under minimal supervision; assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Identify and propose solutions for moderately complex issues with components or systems; collaborate with stakeholders and implement solutions.
• Conduct moderately complex tests on components and systems with some independence; record and analyze test results and provide preliminary findings to engineering teams.
• Suggest improvements to existing processes or tools based on hands-on experience; participate in creating or updating process documentation.
• Act as a resource for entry-level technicians by guiding them on basic tasks and safety procedures.

Skills

• Schematics and Drawings: Independently read and interpret moderately complex schematics and drawings; begin modifying drawings and schematics with guidance.
• Application and Field Use Knowledge: Solid understanding of deployed systems and component operation; independently apply standard assembly and testing methodologies; familiar with relevant industry standards.
• Communication: Develop clear written and verbal communication skills; present findings to internal teams and contribute to discussions about test results; occasional exposure to customer interactions.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance to entry-level technicians on basic tasks; assist with organizing smaller projects.
• Process Improvement: Participate in efforts to improve processes or tools; suggest ideas to enhance efficiency and quality within established systems.
• Problem Solving: Independently solve moderately complex problems using basic troubleshooting techniques; begin applying structured methods such as Root Cause Analysis with guidance.
• Assembly: Independently assemble and modify moderately complex components and systems; assist with improving assembly methods.
• Devices and Tools Used: Proficient in using a range of standard measurement devices for data acquisition and analysis; begin designing basic fixture or rigging equipment for assembly and testing.
• Principles & Data Review: Solid understanding of mechanical principles and their application in moderately complex systems; independently conduct basic testing and data collection.
• Testing: Plan and execute moderately complex test strategies with minimal supervision, providing preliminary analysis and feedback on results.

Requirements

• Experience performing assembly and testing of fuel system components in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in fabrication techniques.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• A&P license preferred, but not required.
• Moderate physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds (some product lines may require heavier lifting).
• Ability to stand for entire shift.
• Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
• May be required to pass Near vision and/or Color vision examinations.
• This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Pay

Estimated hourly base pay: $26.44 - $42.31. Plus, overtime and shift premium.
