Core Responsibilities
- Possess and leverage knowledge of the Aerospace machined parts industry.
- Effectively communicate with customers on both technical and commercial aspects.
- Accurately convey Steelcrest's value proposition relevant to the Aerospace market.
- Manage time to spend over 50% of the time meeting with customers to secure work and build relationships.
- Secure $3M–$5M in new annual revenue with Aerospace customers within 12–18 months.
- Own all aspects of the commercial relationship with customers, from initial outreach to contract signature.
- Build and manage a tiered pipeline through HubSpot CRM for accurate revenue forecasting.
- Maintain clean CRM data hygiene and customer intelligence.
- Receive internal estimates for deals and ensure the winning quote reaches the customer.
- Communicate to the estimating team how we win, including pricing and lead-time.
- Advance strategic relationships within the account by developing multi-level relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and procurement stakeholders.
- Travel up to 50% regionally for face-to-face meetings with customers.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of machine manufacturing processes (Turning, Milling, Grinding, EDM, CNC, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Aerospace supply chain, including ITAR, AS9100, FAI, etc.
- At least 5 years of success in machining or machined part sales.
- At least 5 years of B to B component Aerospace sales experience, particularly in Connecticut.
- Proven ability to originate and manufacture deals for custom parts, high-tolerance, and short-run products.
- Proficiency in CRM, quoting tools, and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints.
