Aerodynamics & Performance Engineer (All Experience Levels)

JOB SUMMARY

Agilis is seeking Aerodynamics/Performance Engineers with various levels of experience to contribute to the design and development of complex machines. The role involves directing and shaping detailed aerodynamic and/or performance solutions concurrently with mechanical and structural design.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Perform aerodynamic and performance analyses in a timely manner, ensuring consistency with program requirements.
• Prepare analytical reports that align with Agilis' Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines.
• Maintain proficiency with Agilis' analysis tools and customer-specific tools through regular training and use.
• Create or modify tools as necessary to support project needs.
• Communicate analytical findings effectively with both internal and external stakeholders through sketches, plots, and other means.
• Collect and analyze data efficiently, organizing and documenting key aspects of the analysis.
• Manage electronic data to minimize redundancy and ensure proper archiving.
• Collaborate on teams, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills during customer reviews.
• Provide in-house support and mentorship, assisting or instructing others on the use of techniques and tools.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechanical or aerospace).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Thorough understanding of advanced engineering methods, tools, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels of personnel and customers.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, if required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to sit for extended periods.
• Able to work at a computer desk or workstation.
• Able to perform light physical tasks, such as lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
