Aerie - Store Team Leader (Store Manager)

As the full-time Store Team Leader, you are the CEO of your store! You are an entrepreneurial-minded business owner who takes pride in maximizing the daily operations of your store. You are passionate about developing a strong team through effective coaching and training, you excel at making tough, strategic decisions to drive your business, and you consistently deliver operational excellence while maintaining AEO Brand Standards. Most importantly, you bring your REAL self to work every day.
Responsibilities
- Driving results: Maximize overall store productivity and build guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience. Create, manage, and own your store’s business plan to meet KPI goals.
- Business innovation: Analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make real-time, data-driven decisions that achieve store financial goals. Own the controllable elements of your store’s P&L.
- People leadership: Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team. Advocate for team development, encourage internal career growth, and maintain a succession plan. Develop store leadership through training, performance feedback, individual development plans, and annual reviews.
- Teamwork and culture: Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by setting clear goals, holding the team accountable to brand standards, and celebrating outstanding performance.
- Brand standards: Ensure your store consistently meets AEO Brand Visual Standards by owning visual and merchandising processes, including floorsets, merchandise adjustments, and replenishment. Keep the store guest-ready at all times.
- Workforce management: Create well-thought-out schedules by evaluating traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to meet business needs. Leverage top talent to deliver an impeccable guest experience while maintaining payroll efficiency.
- Integrity: Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions, ensure audit and shrink results meet Asset Protection Standards, follow AEO’s policies and procedures, and always do the right thing.
Qualifications
- Passion for AE and Aerie products.
- Previous experience leading functional teams in a retail management role.
- Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, priority-setting, and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, with a general understanding of employment law.
- Effective communication and conflict management skills.
- Business acumen and ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
- Flexible availability to work during peak guest shopping hours.

Pay
Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
