Aeration Specialist

About the role

As an Aeration Specialist, you’ll work outside on beautiful properties in your community, diagnosing problems and treating lawns. You’ll apply your expertise to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape, providing organic, hybrid, integrated, and all-nutrient lawn care services, as well as seeding and aeration. As a subject matter adviser, you’ll perform soil analysis and control insects, diseases, and weeds.

This role allows you to work independently, choosing the proper products or customized blends for treating various lawn problems. You’ll also communicate with clients, providing them with comprehensive information about their lawns and “own” your territory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat diseases and infestations on client lawns.
• Apply specialized training to determine proper products or customized blends for treatment.
• Perform soil analysis and control insects, diseases, and weeds.
• Communicate with clients to provide detailed information about their lawns.
• Operate various types of equipment and perform heavy lifting in various weather conditions.
• Work autonomously within your assigned territory.

Requirements

• A degree in Turf, Entomology, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in lawn care maintenance and turf application.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
• Appropriate Pesticide/Herbicide Applicator’s License(s), or the ability to obtain one.

Pay

$25–$32 per hour, based on experience, plus a $500 sign-on bonus.
