Albemarle Eye Center, led by Dr. Jitendra Swarup, provides a wide range of ophthalmic services in Edenton, Elizabeth City, Kinston, Kitty Hawk, and Washington. Services include LASIK laser eye surgery, LenSx® Laser Cataract Removal, oculoplastics, glaucoma treatment, routine eye exams, and contact lens fittings. About the role

We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician with a strong work ethic and self-motivation to join our surgical practice. The ideal candidate will have a positive professional attitude, the ability to build strong patient connections, and a commitment to treating patients with warmth and empathy. Team-oriented individuals who learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient work-ups, vision testing, and refracting
  • Assist physicians in the exam room
  • Conduct visual field and OCT testing
  • Scribe medical documentation
  • Apply medical terminology in daily tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
  • Previous experience in the medical field (preferred)
  • Skills and experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
