Advocate

Hourly, part-time position serving youth and families throughout Oxford County. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Create service plans based on a strength-based approach using the wrap-around model.
• Provide quality documentation and progress notes, submitted within required deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience working directly with youth and families in community, home, or school settings.
• General knowledge of client development, family dynamics, behavioral management techniques, and local community resources.
• Skills in effective communication, maintaining relationships with social service providers, and coaching/training youth in age-appropriate behaviors and problem-solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
• Flexible schedule; may require evenings and weekends.
