Advocate

Summary of the Position

Hourly, Part Time Time position serving youth and families throughout Monroe County are available. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.

Primary responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at risk youth and their families is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge; Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 is a plus.
• Requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
• Spanish Speaking is a plus.
• ASL is a plus.
