About the role

The Operations Support Team is seeking a motivated, organized, analytical individual with outstanding problem solving skills to join our team in the role of Advisor Functional Support. This role will handle Operational Support projects throughout the project life cycle, and act as the liaison between business and Technology Information Services (TIS) for technology related projects to ensure project objectives are achieved. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of metrics to improving performance of various functions within Operations Support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support, incident management, and troubleshooting for Operations, Asset Management, and Integrity applications, including Maximo, ESRI GIS, Salesforce, CartoPac, Arcos, and related systems.
  • Act as a trusted functional support partner to Operations stakeholders, delivering end-user coaching, training, and guidance on system processes and best practices.
  • Analyze integration issues, conduct root cause investigations, and provide metrics and recommendations to minimize business impacts and risks.
  • Support TIS Operations projects through solution design, testing, deployment, post-implementation support, and change management activities for application releases.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders through regular engagement, including travel to Operations depots to provide face-to-face support and collaboration.
  • Provide on-call support for Operations applications, ensuring critical work execution while fostering trust with internal and external customers, contractors, and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in related fields to engineering or information technology.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Excellent communication, issue/problem resolution, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships.
  • In depth experience with Operations, TIS and/or Technical training is an asset.
  • Broad understanding of Asset systems and business processes is preferred.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Certification is preferred.

Physical and mental requirements

Physical: Grasping, kneeling, light–moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental (both field & office): Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis; make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area; understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms; compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports; and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Working conditions

  • Office environment.
  • Occasional travel (<10%) to Operations depots as necessary to offer on-site assistance.
  • Providing overnight on-call support is an essential aspect of this position to handle any urgent tasks.

Pay

Salary ranges from $66,000 – $90,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
