Job Overview
The Advisor, Finance Technology & Transformation role is responsible for managing both project delivery and operational support for the SAP and non-SAP Finance landscape. This role ensures stable day-to-day operations while driving the execution of enhancements, transformations, and innovation initiatives aligned with MBUSA business priorities. This position requires strong hands-on configuration experience in Finance and Controlling, including integration with purchasing, sales, and dealer systems. It also demands expertise in Vistex and dealer incentive/commission systems, along with the ability to support hybrid ecosystems across SAP and non-SAP platforms. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, functional and technical teams, and managed service providers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while fostering an AI-first and automation-driven mindset to continuously improve processes and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, MSPs, and delivery teams to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and ensure transparent communication on status, risks, and next steps
- Manage day-to-day support across SAP and non-SAP finance applications, including incident management, escalation, and resolution
- Oversee backlog intake and execution using Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Drive problem management and root cause analysis (RCA) with sustainable corrective actions
- Ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement across finance systems landscape
- Support core finance operations including: Vehicle and parts accounting, Accounts payable (AP) and non-production material (NPM) purchasing, Controlling, tax processes, and financial reporting
- Provide expertise in dealer incentive programs and sales compensation processes, including Vistex solutions
- Support integration of SAP with non-SAP finance and incentive platforms
- Ensure seamless system integration across upstream and downstream applications
- Support month-end and year-end close activities and audit requirements
- Lead and support end-to-end project delivery for finance system enhancements, integrations, and transformations
- Collaborate with business, CoCs, and IT to define requirements, solution design, and implementation roadmaps
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery
- Contribute to business case development and value realization tracking
- Champion an AI-first and automation-led approach to finance processes and system capabilities
- Identify opportunities for intelligent automation, analytics, and decision intelligence (e.g., predictive insights, Copilot use cases)
- Drive simplification, standardization, and scalability through digital innovation
- Partner with data and AI teams to enable finance-driven insights and business value
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Financial accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant experience in SAP FICO, with exposure to SD,MM and Sales Incentives modules.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Experience: 7+ years of SAP FICO functional experience supporting Financial Accounting, Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes.
- Functional Expertise: Strong SAP FICO knowledge with integration across SD/MM.
- Familiarity with ALE/EDI (IDocs), Fiori, and S/4HANA.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve complex financial discrepancies across logistics and finance systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a forward-looking mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Strong partnership and relationship-building capabilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, and continuous improvement mindset.
