About the Role
The Field Safety Auditor is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and enforcing safety compliance across construction sites. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and company safety standards, identifies potential hazards, and supports the development of a strong safety culture within civil construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and unannounced safety audits and inspections on civil construction sites.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company policies.
- Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance issues; recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and improvement plans.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions and verify resolution of safety issues.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety plans, and permits.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Provide guidance and training to site personnel on safety practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with construction managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote safe work environments.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies or issues and contributing to solutions that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Leverage available tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency and streamline work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field a plus.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in wireline or wireless telecommunications infrastructure.
- Preferred experience in telecommunications installation.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Must be able to operate a computer and all required programs.

Pay
Non Hourly/Salary Exempt.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, with hours varying based on field and travel demands. Occasional weekend work may be required to support field visibility and job coverage.
Location
Remote/Field-Based – Central or Eastern United States; Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana preferred, with additional consideration given to candidates in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
Travel/Shift Requirements
Requires frequent travel.
