About the role
The Employee Health & Benefits Advisor position is part of the Sales team at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a leading provider of business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Target growth opportunities by providing consultative services on Employee Health & Benefits to prospects/clients.
- Provide market trends and conditions, industry updates, compliance briefings, and develop short and long-term strategies to achieve client objectives.
- Manage the retention of assigned accounts and collaborate with the EH&B team to deliver best-in-class solutions and service.
- Coordinate appropriate resources and stay informed about the evolving insurance landscape.
Requirements
- 3-5 years previous work experience in employee benefits, insurance, HR, finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and assess business needs.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of employee benefit lines of coverage, compliance, HR practices, and business.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good working relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Computer proficiency with Agency Management Systems, Outlook, Excel Spreadsheets, and Word documents.
- Establishes priorities and organizes time efficiently to ensure tasks are completed to meet or exceed deadlines.
Qualifications
- Life & Health License (required within 3 months of hire).
- CISR or HIA designation (required within 3 years of hire).
- AU or RHU designation (a plus, but not required).
