Advertising Traffic & Billing Manager (Radio / Podcast Advertising)
About the Role
A multimedia entertainment company behind one of the most recognized brands in tech media is hiring an Advertising Traffic and Billing Manager. The company produces a top-rated nationally syndicated radio show airing on 510+ stations, along with podcasts, YouTube content, and a website with millions of monthly visits. Its agency arm plans and manages national radio and podcast advertising campaigns for fast-growing consumer brands and is scaling rapidly.
This role is the operational backbone of the agency. Dozens of campaigns run simultaneously across national radio networks, syndicated shows, and podcast hosts, and this person will own the full picture: trafficking every campaign, tracking every flight date, chasing every invoice, and keeping one clean set of records the entire team can trust. The manager will also own trafficking and scheduling for the flagship radio show.
What the Role Covers
- Trafficking and scheduling advertising campaigns across a national roster of radio networks, shows, and podcast hosts, confirming every spot and endorsement runs as ordered
- Tracking campaign status end to end: what's running, what's finished, what's renewing, and what's next
- Monitoring campaign performance and ROI by host and network, reporting clearly on what's working
- Owning client invoicing and receivables: preparing invoices, confirming payments arrive on schedule, and reconciling against campaign orders
- Managing payables to networks and hosts: collecting and verifying invoices across different deal structures and preparing payment distributions for approval
- Applying and reconciling agency fees accurately across every client and campaign
- Owning trafficking, scheduling, and client tracking for the flagship radio show
- Keeping clean, current records that serve as the single source of truth for campaigns and billing
Qualifications
- 3+ years in advertising operations, media billing, traffic, or a similar coordination role; ad agency experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with invoices, reconciliations, and percentages, catching discrepancies before they become problems
- Extreme attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written communication skills for client and network coordination across time zones
- Ability to juggle many moving parts across multiple clients, networks, and deal types
- Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience in network radio or podcast advertising is a plus
- Experience with media billing or traffic software is a plus
- Ability to write or script radio and podcast ad copy, distribute changes, and monitor results is a plus
