Greetings

As an Adventureland Park - Food & Beverage Attendant (14/15yr old), you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for guests. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with food preparation, conducting POS transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a fun and inviting manner
• Assist guests by quickly and politely answering their questions
• Prepare food following proper procedure and safety guidelines
• Conduct POS transactions while ensuring all procedures are followed – including credit and refund transactions
• Ensure that all PCI and park guidelines are being followed for all financial transactions
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area
• Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
• Monitor product quality and communicate shrinkage/waste to the lead and/or supervisor
• Aid in other areas of the park to ensure guest satisfaction, if needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
• Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations
• Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
• Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction
• Follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
• Occasional stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, squatting, or reaching above shoulders
• Withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment
• Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
• Constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments
