Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative adventure therapy programs that support students’ physical, emotional, social, and neurobiological development.
- Lead weekly fitness routines and Adventure Excursions.
- Facilitate weekly Ropes Course activities, team-building exercises, and other adventure-based experiences.
- Plan and oversee camping trips or “Engineered Experiences” that provide growth opportunities for students.
- Incorporate meaningful service projects into the program throughout the year.
- Collaborate with the Treatment Team to identify student goals, plan interventions, and assess progress.
- Ensure all activities are executed safely and adhere to best practices while maintaining program excellence.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Education – HS Diploma
- Ability to gain certification in CTRS
- Hold valid driver’s license
- Experience in adventure therapy, experiential learning, or a related field
- Prior experience as a Camp Counselor or Youth Activities Coordinator strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and program development skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering student growth through physical challenges and team-building activities
