AdventHealth is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care Unit Medical Director at AdventHealth Orlando!

Position & Program Highlights

Dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement managing CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, Aortic dissections and Thoracic surgery patients.
Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiologists to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular Critical Care program.
Leading the clinical quality for CVICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams.
Active participation in regional, national meetings and conferences.

Education of APP’s, medical critical care fellows and new staff.
The medical director would also be involved with building a core team of physicians working to improve the breadth and intensity of the Cardiovascular ICU.

Medical Director Requirements

• Board Certification in Critical Care (ABIM) or Surgical Critical Care (ABS) required.
• 3-5 years of experience as a CVICU physician leader.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both private practice and employed models.

Additional Responsibilities

But Not Limited To
Setting performance criteria for the CVICU.
Hiring and retaining qualified physicians & APPs.
Helping to advance AdventHealth Orlando into a world class advanced cardiovascular critical care service.
