About the role

Assists leadership in building Surgical Services budgets.

Accountable for correlation and expenditure of invoices.

Collaborates with PFS team to manage payment methodologies.

Analyzes financial statement trends and reports findings to appropriate leadership.

Evaluates the reimbursement of hospital programs to determine the profitability of service lines.

Facilitates supply chain relationships between vendors, physicians, and the hospital for cost-effective and quality-care supplies and equipment.

Uses cost/managerial accounting techniques to analyze, review, and explain productivity and operations.

Prepares reports as needed, reviewing work for reasonability and producing highly predictable, accurate results.

Collaborates with all departments and individuals as needed for projects.

Assumes all non-clinical duties related to HR, finance, and non-clinical operations in the absence of Surgical Services leadership.

Plans, directs, and supervises all technical and administrative aspects of the budgeting process for Surgical Services.

Prepares monthly variance reporting at the department level and monitors and controls capital.

Requirements

3+ healthcare experience upon hire.

5+ healthcare experience [Preferred].

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]
  • Field Of Study in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

Skills

  • Advanced level of proficiency in the use of personal computer and all Microsoft office products [Required]
  • Possess analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management. [Required]
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills. [Required]
