Wellness Manager {RN or LPN)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor nursing staff to obtain highest quality care.
• Make daily rounds of all Assisted Living residents and retirement residents if needed.
• Observe and report symptoms and conditions of patients to Director of Wellness.
• Administer medications and treatments per signed doctor’s orders in an accurate, safe manner.
• Order medication from pharmacy when needed.
• Supervise Home Health Aide to ensure proper nursing care is given.
• Administer emergency first aid.
• Assure daily assignments for patient care and incidental duties are carried out.
• Document V/S, weights, nurse’s notes, medication, kardex, etc., daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of nurse’s station, med room and cart.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff.
• Perform related work as required per assignment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice per state.
• Work experience in the geriatric field.
• Ability to communicate well and in writing.
• Ability to deal with visitors, staff and residents in a courteous manner.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60lbs.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure at times.
• Must be able to perform good grooming practices, personal hygiene and be punctual and regular in attendance.
• Must have warm, friendly, congenial personality.
• Must present a professional appearance and possess an empathetic attitude towards seniors.
• Ability to assess a resident’s condition and intervene when needed.
• CPR certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.

Qualifications

• May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
• May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents’ apartments.
