Advancement Officer, Athletics & Affinity Giving

Position Summary

The Advancement Officer for Athletics and Affinity Giving at Gannon is a key member of the University Advancement team reporting to the Vice President while overseeing Knight Nation in Athletics. The primary responsibility of this full-time role is to help Gannon meet and exceed fundraising goals through effective identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors, and in facilitating planned stewardship activity.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience: Experience in or familiarity with higher education and collegiate athletics is required.
• Interpersonal, organizational, technological, and fundraising skills are required.
• Proficiency with CRM solutions, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and event management and communications software are required.
• The ability to partner as an excellent teammate with a sound work ethic and dedication to higher education and Gannon’s Mission is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in fundraising, alumni/donor relations, and athletics is preferred.
