Key Responsibilities
- Help manage a portfolio of donors, supporting cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- Process gifts and prepare timely, accurate acknowledgments and gift receipts.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor records in the school's CRM/database.
- Facilitate, manage, and prepare grant proposals and grant reports in coordination with the Director of Advancement, school, and finance staff.
- Maintain the grants calendar and track deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Compile program data, outcomes, and financials needed for applications and reports.
- Manage the school's social media presence across platforms, developing and scheduling content.
- Produce print publications and collateral, including newsletters, the annual report, event materials, and flyers.
- Support consistent brand and messaging across all channels.
- Cook up and coordinate events, managing logistics, invitations, RSVPs, communications, vendors, and the overall experience, including the annual gala, cultivation gatherings, and community events.
- Manage event-related tracking systems, reports, lists, and communications.
- Prepare donor and prospect research profiles for special events, meetings, and donor engagement opportunities.
- Represent Codman Academy at events and other public-facing activities, serving as an enthusiastic ambassador for the organization and its mission.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor records, working closely with the Director of Advancement to maintain data quality.
- Utilize CRM and database systems to support donor engagement, reporting, prospect management, and fundraising activities.
- Manage gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and other advancement operations as needed.
- Support the Director of Advancement with scheduling, briefings, and department administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in development, nonprofit administration, communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and design tools (e.g., Canva); familiarity with donor CRM/database systems.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Codman Academy's mission and to serving the Dorchester community.
