About the role

We are seeking an outstanding undergraduate student to join our team at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) to develop an advanced time-resolved spectroscopy platform and related control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate a structured light supercontinuum spectroscopy system
  • Utilize the developed system to explore quantum material dynamics in collaboration with graduate students, postdocs, and staff scientists

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Python, Labview, MATLAB, or similar programming language
  • Exposure to undergraduate or graduate level coursework in quantum mechanics and/or optics
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field
  • Currently enrolled (12 semester credit hours or full-time equivalent) in an accredited undergraduate degree-granting program (or international equivalent)
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Provide documentation indicating matriculation into an accredited undergraduate degree program for entering first-year students
