Advanced Step Apprentice (3rd Step or above)/Journeyman Lineman-Minot, ND

Summary

Perform all duties of the Lineman Classification. Including work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems. Individual filling this position should have a high-level commitment to safety, provide quality customer service, be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.

Required

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Must possess a degree/diploma from an accepted Line School or a state issued Journeyman certificate for an Advanced step position. 3. Must possess a state issued Journeyman certificate and pass a company skills assessment for a Journeyman position. 4. Must meet driver qualification requirements, including the possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License. 5. Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution, construction, operations, and maintenance work. 6. Must have good communication and teamwork skills. 7. Must presently be qualified to be a 3rd Step Apprentice Lineman or higher. 8. Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude. 9. Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.

Special Requirements

1. Requires participation in after-hours emergency call-outs. 2. Must live within 20-miles of the service center. 3. This position is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing program.

Pay

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $43.59 to $62.27 per hour
