Responsibilities
- Development and delivery of products working along with a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship on critical technology projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure the team adheres to best practices and efficient development methodologies, such as Agile.
- Implement software for cloud, edge, and on-prem platforms built in C#, .NET, Python, and modern microservice frameworks.
- Research advanced and emerging technologies and collaborate with other architects on new cybersecurity initiatives.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into modern system architectures, including containerized and microservice-based environments.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering and product teams to integrate security into the full development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development in cybersecurity, security architecture, or a related technical domain.
- Strong understanding of containerized and microservice-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security fundamentals.
- Strong Coding experience in multiple languages - including .NET Core and C# for backend development, and JavaScript, ReactJS, and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
- Expertise in driving the adoption of coding standards and identifying risks with mitigation solutions.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud security services (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF, container security, etc.).
- Experience in coding AI/ML pipelines or cloud-hosted models.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
- Experience working in product-based engineering environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
