Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist
About the role
The LNG Technology & Products team delivers competitive LNG technology solutions, develops new products, and improves existing designs and processes. The incumbent is responsible for leading complex research and technology development programs, defining technical strategy, designing and developing process cycles, designing experiments, analyzing results, and translating learnings into improved heat exchanger designs, engineering methods, and commercial offerings. You will report directly to our Sr R&D Manager and you’ll work out of our Allentown, PA location. This is an individual contributor research process engineering role with a focus on process cycle and new technology development for the LNG industry. The role requires a creative and innovative approach, strong chemical engineering fundamentals, and the ability to influence across R&D, product management, process engineering, commercial, and operations teams. Ideally, the candidate will have deep experience designing and optimizing process cycles using simulation tools, along with LNG production, liquefaction, gas separation, cryogenic equipment, and heat exchanger technology experience. The candidate will be expected to solve complex and ambiguous technical problems involving two-phase fluid flow, gas separation, heat transfer, thermodynamics, heat exchanger design, and cryogenic equipment performance. This position involves up to 10% travel to domestic and global locations.
