Advanced Practitioner - Ballarat

About the role

Work in a team dedicated to helping people make positive changes to their lives. This is a Fixed Term, Full Time position based in Ballarat, earning $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation. Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community.

CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex and violent offences on post sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole. Advanced Practitioners within the court case management stream of CCS will manage a case load of predominately complex and high-risk individuals who have committed offences.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of predominately complex and high-risk individuals
• Motivate and influence staff in best case management practice
• Produce written reports with appropriate analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Apply sound judgement in the identification and assessment of individual risk
• Develop and maintain relationships with cross-government and community-based stakeholders

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks including managing clients with complex presentations and conducting risk and needs assessments in a human services context
• Ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes
• Demonstrated understanding and capability in leading, managing and developing staff responsible for operational service delivery
• Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion
