Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Qualifications

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all screening and immunizations campaigns as deemed necessary by the Nursing and Medical Directors and provide immunizations.
• Initiate appropriate therapies consistent with the diagnosis.
• Utilize expertise to educate patients, their families, staff, and community.
• Collect, interpret, and record health data from patients presenting in the STIs, Family Planning, Women’s Health, and Refugees Health Clinics, including breast and pelvic exams, placement and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs), and provision of all forms of contraception methods within the boundaries of the State of Florida mandates.
• Perform annual physical exams for uninsured patients and comprehensive physical evaluations of refugees.
• Identify and evaluate medical conditions and illnesses.
• Initiate diagnostic laboratory tests and evaluate all results in a timely manner.
• Apply advanced knowledge of nursing practice and familiarity with Title X guidelines.
