Advanced Practice Provider - SunState Medical Specialists

About the role

SunState Medical Specialists is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology team in Fort Myers, Florida. In this role, you will provide patient-centered care through evaluations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning in close collaboration with experienced physicians. You will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values clinical excellence and strong patient relationships. As part of a private practice committed to delivering advanced urologic care, you will play an important role in guiding patients through their treatment journey with professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care including evaluations, consultations, and treatment planning
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
• Manage patient encounters, including initial assessments, follow-ups, and referrals
• Document patient interactions and progress in electronic health records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in urology

Requirements

• Minimum of 1–2 years APP experience preferred
• Urology experience as RN or APP preferred
• Current license to practice as an NP or PA in Florida
• Board certifications: NP-C or PA-C

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Master's or Doctoral degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Active registration as an NP or PA in Florida
• Experience in outpatient urology settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
