Advanced Practice Provider (PA) Urgent Care - Pittsboro

UNCHMG Urgent Care at Chatham Park, located in Pittsboro, NC, is currently seeking a Full-time Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. The clinic sees patients 4 months of age and older. The team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. On-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing are available. Clinics operate on a walk-in basis.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries
• Provide occupational health services and exams
• Care for patients 4 months of age and older
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians, APPs)
• Utilize on-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing
• Manage walk-in patient flow

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Skills & Certifications

• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Schedule

Clinic hours: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Sunday through Saturday. Includes weekends and holidays. Flexible, full-time schedule.

Details

Full-time, onsite position with variable schedule (40 hours/week). Exempt from overtime. Location: UNC Urgent Care at Chatham Park, Pittsboro, NC. Employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a state-employed position.
