Advanced Practice Provider- PA or NP

About the Role

Provides patient care for new and recheck visits and maintains patient documentation. Performs and updates thorough histories and physical exams. Orders and coordinates neurodiagnostic testing. Triages patient phone calls, discusses test results, and follows up with patients.

• Presents patient information to physicians in a concise, complete, and thorough manner.
• Documents patient visits and notes in a timely manner, emphasizing completeness, thoroughness, and reflected formulation of diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, patient education, and follow-up.
• Provides patient and family education, organizes relevant educational materials, and ensures understanding and retention.
• Facilitates family conferences.
• May perform other duties such as inpatient evaluation or program development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Prefer experience in general neurology or internal medicine.
