About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) will provide direct patient care within the Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute cardiac conditions.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as necessary to support patient care.
• Document patient encounters and treatments accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Requirements

• Current licensure as an NP or PA in the state of practice.
• Experience in acute care cardiology or related field.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
• Passing scores on relevant national certification exams.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.

Skills

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology.
• Ability to manage high acuity patients effectively.
