Advanced Practice Provider - Neurosurgery

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with neurosurgery physicians and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care across the continuum—pre-, intra-, and post-operative.

Responsibilities

• Assess, manage, and coordinate neurosurgical health concerns
• Provide timely referrals when necessary
• Ensure seamless care transitions
• Provide neurosurgery call coverage
• Manage inpatient care
• Assist in the operating room as needed

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assistant program OR Nurse Practitioner program with Acute Care certification
• Current licensure in the State of Ohio
• Graduate of an approved formal training program for surgical assisting or appropriate related certification from an approved military surgical assisting program
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges with The MetroHealth System within 90 days of placement within position and maintain privileges

Preferred Experience

• Experience in neurosurgery or spine surgery is preferred, but not required

Schedule

Rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings
