Advanced Practice Provider-Medical Oncology

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments—such as detailed histories and physical examinations
• Support patients through complex decision-making and care transitions
• Manage chemotherapy clearance and independently evaluate patients
• Oversee patient care in the absence of the supervising physician(s)
• Confidently manage patient encounters through telehealth platforms
• May include hospital rounding as needed

Requirements

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
• Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline
• Oncology experience preferred; minimum 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Spanish speaking is preferred
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
