Advanced Practice Provider - Internal Medicine

About the Role

Exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient care in WellSpan Health’s Internal Medicine practice. This position offers an excellent schedule with options for Monday – Friday, either 5 eight-hour days or 4 ten-hour days, with no weekends.

A $30,000 sign-on bonus is available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Provide ongoing management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education:
  • Master’s Degree (Nurse Practitioner) Required, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Physician Assistant) Required; Master’s Degree (Physician Assistant) Preferred
• Work Experience: 1 year Required
• Licenses:
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required, or
  • Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required, or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Upon Hire Required as appropriate for the clinical role
• Courses and Training:
  • Nurse Practitioner: Board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required, and completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required, or
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited physician assistant program Upon Hire Required
