Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive healthcare in designated neurocritical care settings, including patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals.
- Serve as a clinical resource, role model, and trainer for practitioners and students, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Perform history taking, physical exams, assessments, and order tests; document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, involve patients and families in care planning, and educate for self-management and follow-up.
- Support interdisciplinary teamwork and promote patient-centered behaviors.
- Stay updated on field advancements, participate in educational activities, and ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and certifications.
- Develop and suggest process improvements, monitor departmental goals, and deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Physician Assistant with ARC-PA recognized education or APRN with a master's in nursing (CCNE or ACEN accredited).
- Current healthcare provider BLS certification; ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Texas licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (various specialties), with prescriptive authority.
- Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, and patient care standards.
- Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
