About the Role

UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist (NP/PA) to join its growing Hospital Medicine program. The role involves delivering high-quality, team-based inpatient services at a community hospital with a closed ICU, using EPIC EMR. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, team-based inpatient care.
• Document patient encounters in the medical record to support accurate billing.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure successful patient care through effective interaction.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife) in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the department; DEA registration.
• No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PA or NP program.
• Experienced Hospitalist PA or NP preferred.
• New graduate APPs with inpatient ED or ICU experience are welcome to apply.
