About the role

Exciting opportunity to join our clinical team as a full-time professional Advanced Practice Provider within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This position is ideal if you are interested in working with a medically challenging patient population, learning something new every day, and serving an underserved area. You will deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients, perform in-office procedures (or be willing to learn quickly), and collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality primary and preventive care to diverse patient populations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and manage chronic health conditions.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including ordering labs and studies.
  • Prescribe medications and evidence-based treatments for adults and pediatric patients.
  • Deliver Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with substance use disorders.
  • Counsel and educate patients on positive health behaviors and disease management.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Develop treatment plans according to clinical protocols and refer patients appropriately.
  • Perform basic in-office procedures such as IUD/Nexplanon placement, Pap smears, biopsies, joint injections, nail removals, suturing, wart cryotherapy, and incision & drainage.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current South Carolina licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
  • Proficiency in delivering Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Commitment to serving underserved communities.
