Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and electrophysiology consultations
- Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments for patients undergoing electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, device implantations, and LAAO procedures
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, ECGs, cardiac imaging, and device reports
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiology-related conditions
- Monitor patient progress and identify changes in clinical status, initiating appropriate interventions when necessary
- Manage patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders
- Collaborate closely with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Perform inpatient admissions, daily follow-up evaluations, and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, medications, and long-term disease management
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with internal and external healthcare providers as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care while adhering to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
- Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Minimum 2-3 years of Cardiac experience required
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
