Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care role at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, is a full-time position working 7:00pm - 7:00am. The role involves comprehensive patient care, collaboration with physicians, and support for a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients
• Develop and execute treatment plans
• Perform critical invasive procedures
• Ensure continuity of care across multiple hospital settings
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
• Provide compassionate and expert care

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current Washington State ARNP or Physician Assistant license
• Washington license, ACLS, and DEA licensing required at start
• Fundamentals of Critical Care Support and Palliative Academy in the first year of employment
• Positive working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, patients, and families
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines

Preferred

• Ventilator management, central venous and arterial line placement, intubation, and Point of Care Ultrasound
