About the role

As a Certified Nurse Midwife with Intermountain Health, you will join Southridge OB/GYN, supporting patients in our Riverton, Utah location. We are a group practice of 6 CNM's, 2 WHNP, 4 OBGYN Physicians, & 3 OB Hospitalist. Our midwives provide comprehensive health care for women, with a particular emphasis on wellness and patient choice. We support women in their childbirth decisions, whether it’s an unmedicated birth or epidural anesthesia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in clinic, attend births, and round with mother/baby and antepartum patients in hospital.
  • Work at the top of your scope of licensure, admitting, caring for, and discharging patients from inpatient care.
  • Collaborate with other midwives, physicians, and hospitalists in a highly collaborative model.

Requirements

  • CNM degree from an accredited program
  • Current Utah state license as a Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Midwife
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Skills

  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy

  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc)

Benefits

This is a full time position and will be fully benefits eligible. Schedule will include outpatient clinic, and rotating call taken in 24 hour shifts. Candidates with CNM experience and CNM New Graduates will be considered.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $57.33 - $88.47

Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. - and - Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc). - and - May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
