Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiovascular ICU (Night/PRN)

About the role

Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, perform assessments, and interpret diagnostic studies
• Provide direct treatment and manage conditions through prescriptive authority or referrals
• Document healthcare delivery in accordance with standards and policies
• Participate in staff and student education and orientation
• Perform health assessments, screenings, and patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program with board certification
• Physician Assistant certified by NCCPA and licensed by the Texas Medical Board
• Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority, certified by AANPCB or ANCC, and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted

Preferred Skills

• Cardiovascular and thoracic experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
• High sensitivity and confidentiality in handling individuals and information
• Strong collaboration skills with physicians and healthcare team members

Pay

$90.5/hr+ depending on qualifications
