Advanced Practice Provider - Cancer Specialists of North Florida

About the role

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in St. Augustine, Florida. This role is inpatient based. You will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in collaboration with a dedicated physician team. This role offers a supportive private practice environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered oncology care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dedicated physician team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment
• Assess and manage patient symptoms and side effects related to cancer treatment
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Conduct physical exams and order diagnostic tests as needed
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of APP experience required
• Hematology/Oncology experience as RN or APP preferred
• In-state license to practice as an NP or PA
• Current DEA and NPI numbers

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Master's or Doctoral degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Current certification as an NP-C or PA-C
• Experience in oncology nursing or as an APP preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
