Advanced Practice Provider - APRN or PA-C

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history, physical examination, and clinical assessment
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries such as respiratory infections, fractures, lacerations, sprains, and other urgent care presentations
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing including labs, EKGs, and X-rays
  • Perform common urgent care procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, and foreign body removal
  • Clinical procedures: administer medications, vaccinations, injections, and treatments according to clinical protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Experity electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, FMCSA, and infection control standards
  • Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education
  • Support clinic flow and operational efficiency while maintaining excellent patient experience

Requirements

  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
  • Ability to perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and phlebotomy
  • Willingness to become a certified FMCSA DOT Medical Examiner within 3 months of hire if not already certified
  • Familiarity with Occupational Medicine and workers’ compensation cases preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records; Experity experience is a plus
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-first approach
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
