Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP)/OBGYN/Adjoint Assistant Professor/Part Time
Job Summary
The Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Anschutz has an opening for a 0.2 part-time faculty at the rank of Adjoint Assistant Professor for a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide inpatient clinical care in obstetrics and gynecology as a member of the University’s Women Care (UWC) practice. Inpatient duties include working on labor and delivery one night a week managing obstetric and postpartum patients. This job involves the education of residents, advanced practice providers, and/or medical students. There is a potential for outpatient work although emphasis will initially be on inpatient practice.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency obtaining patient histories, physical examination, and the assessment and development of appropriate plans of care in the Ob-Gyn clinical setting.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with primary care providers, specialists, and team members to meet the comprehensive needs of patients.
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to low and high-risk patients as part of a collaborative team.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees as able.
- Participate in research, as desired.
Qualifications
- DNP/PhD or equivalent experience.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or midwifery.
- Active AMCB certification.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Prescriptive authority required.
- Must have Colorado licenses registered with DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) by date of hire.
- Seven (7) or more years clinical experience in practice as a CNM in Obstetrical/Gynecological care.
- Demonstrates meritorious or excellent achievements in several of the following areas: teaching, clinical activity, research, service, and scholarship.
- Experience as a clinical educator.
- Utilize limited obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound skills.

Anticipated Pay Range
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: Assistant Professor: $136,947-$139,300 for a 1.0 FTE (will be prorated to posted FTE).
