Key Responsibilities
- Manages substance use disorder treatment and other co-occurring psychiatric treatment needs of adult populations primarily in an outpatient setting at CeDAR.
- Participates in clinical research and dissemination of findings, including presentation of scholarly writing.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic evaluation, management, and pharmacology for substance use disorders and other co-occurring psychiatric disorders, risk assessment, and treatment of substance intoxication and withdrawal.
- Participates in performance improvement activities, quality improvement, patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with JCAHO accreditation and other internal and external regulatory statues including the code of conduct.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Rank at the time of appointment will be based on the candidate’s demonstrated contributions and experience in teaching, clinical, research, and/or service to the field.
- This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
- Instructor: 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- Sr. Instructor: 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in psychiatry, experience working in residential and community-based settings, experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders, current and active certification in basic life support (BLS).
