Advanced Practice Provider - APP - Cardiothoracic Surgery

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery. This includes pre-operative assessments, post-operative care, and coordination with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans
• Collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare providers
• Providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
• Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences
• Managing patient education and discharge planning

Requirements

• Current certification as an Advanced Practice Provider (e.g., NP, PA)
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related field
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
• License to practice in Missouri
• Passing scores on relevant boards or exams
